Dennis W. Butler

Dennis W. Butler holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science. A retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, he helped build real-time command and control systems for military satellites, commanded a squadron, and finished his service at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. He taught Computer Science and Software Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, then spent the second half of his career in public transit, retiring as Chief Planning and Development Officer at AC Transit. He now writes about AI and education, volunteers with the Red Cross, and explores the desert with Xena, a jet-black adventure cat with green eyes.
